City Elections October 2

PLEASE VOTE on Tuesday October 2 for your Bettles City Council representatives!

Also, please consider serving on the Bettles City Council as your fellow citizens need you!  If you would like to run for a seat on the Council, you must officially declare (fill out a form) by September 22.  Please see City Clerk Hazel, Assistant Clerk Jennifer, or any City Council member for more details.


Bettles Arctic Research Center

A few years ago, a strategic plan was developed to turn our closed school into an Arctic Research & Learning Center.  Here is the web link to their report:

The City Council is still interested in revitalizing the school buildings and use them in a new, innovative way.  Do you think this is a good idea or would you like to add to this discussion?  Attend the next City Council meeting or speak to one of you City Council members about the school revitalization project!

Resolution 2012-5 Rescinded by City Council

The Bettles City Council has rescinded Resolution 2012-5 (supporting a year-round road through Bettles to access the Ambler mining district) by passing Resolution 2012-8.  The resolution and an explanatory letter are linked below and also on the City Council page of this blog.
